Transcendental Meditation or Bhavatit Dhyan in Hindi is a Vedic technique. It has its origins in the Vedas. Hence, this meditation technique is as old as Time or Humanity itself.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi started teaching this technique in India and outside India in the 1950s. And he founded the worldwide Transcendental Meditation Movement.
