What is Transcendental Meditation?
Transcendental Meditation or TM is a form of silent - sitting meditation, introduced to the world by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 1950s. It is an ancient Vedic technique.
In this meditation you go from the consciousness thinking level of your mind, through the sub-conscious, to the source of your mind or consciousness. This state is called Transcendental consciousness, which is a fourth state of consciousness and is different from the other 3 states of waking, dreaming or sleeping. This state in Sanskrit is called Turiya or Samadhi and it is Pure Awareness or Pure Consciousness, and it Sat-Chit-Ananda that is Absolute-Bliss-Consciousness. It is the home of all laws of nature, it is the blueprint of the Universe, it is from where this physical-material world manifests from the Unmanifest. There are profound benefits on your body and mind of experiencing this Transcendental Consciousness which is your own inner Self.
TM is easy to learn and fun to practice. It is easy, natural and absolutely effortless.
